Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English- written, read, spoken
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
- Consistent availability to work evenings and weekends
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collegially with others and effectively without close supervision
- Ability to maintain high level of sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a community college or school setting
- Prior marketing or sales experience
Position Description
This position is 27-hours per week and reports directly to the Director of Community Engagement and Latino Programs. The position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Promotes College mission, values, and vision
- Assists in student recruitment and retention
- Attends appropriate College and community partner meetings and events
- Assists with and/or coordinates programs in classroom and/or practical settings to meet program needs including day, evening, weekend, and online courses
- Assists in developing, organizing, implementing, and administering a program(s) of continuing education (non-credit) courses to provide educational opportunities in his/her particular area of responsibility
- Participates in activities necessary to maintain program compliance with regulatory agencies
- Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy
- Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external agencies
