Position Description
The Coordinator, Continuing Education & Workforce Development, is responsible for planning, management and evaluation of the non-credit programming at the Davie Campuses. The position reports to the Dean, Academic Programs at the Davie Campus located in Mocksville, NC and has the following responsibilities:
Develops and implements courses and programs tailored to meet the training and development needs of companies related to job creation and productivity enhancement.
Manages course offerings designed to aid business and industry partners.
Assists faculty in adoption of textbooks, distribution of course materials, and other class related items.
Conducts class visits, evaluates faculty and outcomes, and submits reports.
Coordinates teaching assignments, course schedules and course set up.
Promotes instructional approaches to foster student learning and effective teaching.
Monitors effectiveness of instruction.
Maintains currency with local, state and federal guidelines.
Assists in the development of marketing strategies and the development of marketing materials to publicize and market programs.
Establishes and/or grows partnerships with stakeholders within the College and within the community, especially as related to the continuing education and workforce development in Davie County.
Develops and maintains relationships with state and county agencies.
