Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with one year of experience in related field OR Associate’s degree in education or related field with three years of experience in related field
- Ability to provide leadership in anticipating and responding to emergencies.
- Knowledge and experience using integrated software systems Google Docs and Microsoft applications (with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with faculty
- Experience working in Student Affairs
- Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college.
Position Description
The Evening and Weekend Coordinator is a part-time (27 hours or less per week) 10-month position. The work schedule is Monday – Friday 4pm – 8pm and Saturdays 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. The Coordinator reports to the Dean, Student Engagement & Completion and has the following responsibilities:
- Provides support to students on college processes and software including, but not limited to admissions, residency, financial aid, course registration, graduation, withdrawal, Starfish, StormTrac, Moodle, enrollment information session, new student orientation and appointments with Student Affairs staff.
- Provides coverage for the Storm Help Desk in person and virtually.
- Audits Student Affairs departmental webpages for accuracies and updates.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for basic administrative, instructional and facilities support to evening and weekend faculty.
- Assists with the development and implementation of student engagement evening and weekend programming.
- Acts as a resource and responds to emergencies and the needs of students, faculty, staff and visitors in the evening and weekend when on duty.
- Maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
- Attend College meetings as feasible.
- Serves on College committees as appropriate.
- Performs other tasks as assigned that support the mission, vision, values and initiatives of the College.
