- Qualifications for teaching Continuing Education courses vary based on the subject being taught. In most cases, the minimum qualifications would consist of proven knowledge of the subject and the appropriate educational credential, if applicable

Position Description
Part-time instructor positions are available to teach Continuing Education courses offered at various locations in Davidson and Davie Counties. Instructors fluent in Spanish are needed to teach courses in a variety of subject areas including but not limited to GED level Math and Reading preparation, cosmetology(instructor license required), construction-various areas, electrical (with license or certification), HVAC (with license or certification), forklift training, business, IT, welding, and other areas.
Courses may be offered during the day, evening, or weekend hours.
These positions report directly to a Coordinator or the Director of Community Engagement and Latino Programs.

Primary Responsibilities
- Be prepared and be on time for each class
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Follow all procedures and policies set by the College
- Communicate with supervisor when issues arise
- Teach assigned courses to meet program needs including, but not limited to, day, evening, and weekends
- Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate feedback
- Help revise and keep course syllabi up to date or in line with industry standards
- Provide appropriate information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria
- Submit necessary paperwork to the Director of Community Engagement Latino Programs by set deadlines
- Assist with student recruitment and retention
- Perform other tasks, which support the mission and initiatives of the College, as assigned
