Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally accredited institution required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching Experience required (either teaching adults or public school)
- Strong computer literacy skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office required
- Ability to use video teleconferencing software including, but not limited to, Zoom required

Position Description
UMMARY
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Part-Time ESL instructors to work up to 18 hours/week. Instructors will teach ESL classes (adult basic education and HSE preparation) and complete associated paperwork to ensure compliance with state and federal policies and/or grant regulations. Must be able to teach day or evening classes at multiple instruction sites through multiple modes as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct assigned classes of instruction in the best manner to achieve student learning; present information, ideas, and skills in ways which are appropriate to a variety of learning styles and which show sensitivity to a diverse student population.
- Monitor and report student progress and maintain current class rosters.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Maintain contact with students via phone and/or email.
- Identify student access barriers and make appropriate referrals.
- Maintain up to date knowledge within the teaching field, and of software used for class delivery.
- Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
- Participate in departmental and divisional orientation and training sessions.
