Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must have strong computer skills and proficiency with database, spreadsheet, word processing programs and data entry.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Must demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic demeanor with students.
- Ability to be flexible for scheduling test sessions at various locations during day, evening, and occasional Saturdays.
- Must be trained in National Reporting System (NRS) approved adult assessments to include TABE, TABE CLASS-E, and CASAS paper-based and computer-based assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in adult basic education in NC preferred
Position Description
Oversee the organization, scheduling, and implementation of orientation and assessment functions of College and Career Readiness (CCR) ensuring compliance with the National Reporting System and NC Community Colleges System Assessment Policy. Will often serve as first point of contact with incoming adult basic education, high school equivalency, and English Language Acquisition students to provide information, encouragement, and strong support during the intake process. Review testing and attendance data, determine next steps for timely post-testing to track student learning. Work with CCR team to plan, organize, and implement related professional development opportunities for CCR instructors.
Essential Functions:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain current understanding of NC College and Career Readiness assessment policies.
- Run data reports to track student hours to ensure post-tests are administered in a timely manner as required to track student progress.
- Schedule and administer NRS approved assessments to CCR students and provide diagnostic reports to instructors for day, evening, and online students at multiple class locations in Moore and Hoke counties.
- Work with team to coordinate and conduct new student orientations including administering assessments and completing LEIS forms.
- Work with team to plan and conduct relative staff development opportunities.
- Assist with student recruiting and retention efforts.
- Attend a minimum of 12 hours of staff development per year as directed by Director of CCR.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the CCR Director.
