Minimum Qualifications
Completed a Journeyman Level Powerline Technician Program
Have 5 years of experience as a Powerline Technician
Preferred Qualifications
• Have experience teaching Powerline Technicians
• Have experience supervising Powerline Technicians
Position Description
The Powerline Instructor is responsible for the planning, developing, and the teaching of lineman classroom and hands on field training.
• Assist with Powerline Technician program development, improvement, revisions, and evaluations.
• Assist with the Development of new portions of the Powerline program.
• Assist with the selection of textbooks, instructional materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Teach Classroom and field training for Powerline students
• Assume responsibilities for management of course records, attendance, accident reports, grades, etc.
• Evaluates student performance
• Assist with new instructor orientation
• Receives general supervision from the Director of Workforce Development and Customized Training
• May occasionally receive general supervision from full-time instructional staff
• Exercises no supervision
