Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, current and unencumbered NC Respiratory Care license, and current BLS certification (ACLS,PALS, and NRP expected based on subject area). Applicant should have extensive experience in critical and emergency care in all patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor degree is preferred.

Position Description

The Respiratory Therapy curriculum prepares individuals to function as respiratory therapists. In these roles, individuals perform diagnostic testing, treatment, and management of patients with heart and lung diseases. Students will master skills in patient assessment and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases. These skills include life support, monitoring, drug administration, and treatment of patients of all ages in a variety of settings. Graduates of accredited programs are eligible to take entry-level examinations from the National Board of Respiratory Care. Therapy graduates may also take the Advanced Practitioner Examination. Graduates may be employed in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, education, industry, and home care.

Provide quality instruction for students in clinical settings in the Fayetteville and greater Raleigh areas. 
 
Complete all instructional responsibilities, as explained in the job description for clinical faculty. 
 
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff. 
 
Develop and maintain community relationships that support the mission of the College and the program.
