Minimum Qualifications
Must have a valid CDL Class A license, a DOT Medical Card, and at least one (1) year of commercial truck driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A CDL Examiner Certification is preferred
Position Description
Under the general direction of the CDL Coordinator, perform duties relating to delivering instruction, evaluation, and preparation of new trainees in a learning environment. Provide in-person instruction to students to include: full pre/post-trip inspections, basic control skills (curves, turning, backing, urban/rural sections, expressways, bridge underpasses, intersections, emergency protocols, handling adverse weather conditions, altering driving habits with heavier weight loads, passing, signaling, shifting, and driving on upgrades and downgrades), coupling and uncoupling trailers, logbook management, and over-the-road driving. Maintain accurate records of attendance, class completions, evaluations, and coaching sessions in the appropriate systems. Standard daytime working hours.

Salary: Based on education and experience.
