Minimum Qualifications

Dentists with a DDS or DMD who possess a current unrestricted North Carolina dental license and an active DEA number and has occupational experience in the application of fourhanded dentistry principles, required.  Evidence of academic preparation consistent with the American Dental Association Commission standards for accreditation, required.  This includes documented background in educational methodology, techniques, and instruction.  Two calendar years or the equivalent of full time clinical experience as a dentist, required.  Current certification with American Heart Association BLS/CPR with AED for Adult and Child, required. 

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience in a CODA-accredited institution, preferred.  

Position Description

This is an in-person, part-time position to teach curriculum classes/labs/clinicals.  Fulfill responsibilities as a faculty member and part-time employee.  Must be willing to travel to clinical sites.

Teach curriculum classes/labs/clinical in dental hygiene and to provide instruction to students during patient care.  Provide clinical and radiography laboratory instruction to dental students.  Provide clinical instruction for the delivery of local anesthesia.  Fulfill responsibilities as a faculty member and part-time employee.  Must be willing to travel to clinical sites.

Salary: $55 per hour.
Start Date: May 16, 2024.
