Lead Nurse Aide II instructor for classroom, lab and clinical instruction and to supervise clinical experiences in the hospital for the evening class following the NC Board of Nursing curriculum for Nurse Aide II.  Specifically, instruct students in the Nurse Aide II curriculum provided by the NCBON, instruct students in skills listed in the NC Nurse Aide II curriculum; supervise students in the clinical setting for Nurse Aide II (includes 80 hours at the hospital in a variety of areas); create a motivating and engaging classroom; evaluate the proficiency of student skills; follow NCBON guidelines in teaching Nurse Aide II students, and use Blackboard as a supplemental resource for student grades and assignments.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.  2-3 evenings per week from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered nurse with an unencumbered license, licensed to practice in North Carolina; two (2) years experience as a registered nurse; and at least ONE of the following:  completion of a course in teaching adults, experience teaching adults, or experience supervising nurse aides. Must receive approval by the NCBON to be a Nurse Aid II instructor.
