  • Bachelor's Degree in Student Services, Business, Education, or a closely related field and 5 plus years of experience in a community college or similar setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge in MS Office applications

Ability to work with diverse student population. Strong customer service skills and impeccable organizational skills.

Community College environment experience.

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under general supervision of the Director of Trades Education, the candidate is to assist students in linking academic, personal and professional goals to ensure student success and retention. Candidate must be able to accurately track and maintain a database of participants within the Pathways to Purpose initiative and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  • Accurately track and maintain a database of participants within the Pathways to Purpose initiative and ensure student success and retention
  • Prepares documents, reports, contracts, and routine correspondence
  • Assists with student recruitment, career events and linkages for assistance with support to eliminate employment barriers
  • Willingness to learn about Skilled Trade programs and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Trades Education
  • Works effectively with diverse populations

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Student Services, Business, Education, or a closely related field and 5 plus years of experience in a community college or similar setting
