Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Current unrestricted license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina; Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse; The desired candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills , and demostrate strong interpersonal skills with students.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
- Teaching experience at the community college level

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Adjunct Nursing Instructor is a part–time position serving as an adjunct teaching faculty member responsible for instructing students on-campus, in clinical sites, and through other delivery methodologies in accordance with College policy and procedures. The relationship of this adjunct faculty member to the student is one of a leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Clinical instruction for clinical and simulation laboratory
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution•Current unrestricted license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina•Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse•The desired candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills , and demostrate strong interpersonal skills with students
