Position Description

Central Piedmont is currently seeking a Presidential Fellow position - Academic and Workforce Initiatives position with the Academic Affairs unit located on Central Campus. (Grant)

Anticipated hiring date: TBD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours per week: 40 hours per week

General Function

Supports the Provost with research, data analysis, monitoring, planning and implementation in an effort to facilitate partnerships, increase student retention, improve the efficiencies of processes and overall effectiveness of the unit. Assists the Provost with the implementation, engagement, and in driving results of key unit and College initiatives and strategies. 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Facilitates partnerships and initiatives, serving as a convener, ombudsman, and liaison with stakeholders

2.  Leads process implementations to drive efficiencies, such as, Guided Pathways work, workflows, attendance systems, budgets and other data

3.  Partners with Planning and Research for leadership within Academic Affairs on proactive data usage

4.  Researches local, state, and national trends and reports findings to inform and drive continued efforts and progress in innovative initiatives

5.  Monitors retention data from an institutional perspective

6.  Utilizes, analyzes, and presents labor market data with a focus on economic mobility and increasing program relevancy

7.  Prepares research reports on retention and its impact in higher education, particularly community colleges

8.  Evaluates initiatives and prepares reports to track progress

9.  Creates and implements communications related to strategic priorities

10. Advises and supports efforts to influence resource alignment

11. Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders for input on key initiatives/strategies

12. Serves on college and community committees

13. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to coordinate programming, holistic student supports, and awareness of work

14. Collaborates with external stakeholders and participates in regional and national student opportunity-centered initiatives to facilitate partnerships with key constituencies

15. Makes recommendations to college administration for policies, procedures, and/or programmatic shifts as a result of student data trends

16. Manages work, information and logistics of project deliverables with project participants
