Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED/HSE required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess thorough knowledge of applicable U.S. Postal Service requirements and processes related to standard and automated mailing processes and other shipping and receiving methods required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good, clean driving record.
- Strong organization and recordkeeping skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks required.
- Working knowledge of operating standard office equipment and related tools and technology required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach, including reaching overhead.
- Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in operation of offset and digital printing systems, color management, and general copying services preferred.
Position Description
SUMMARY
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Reporting to the Managing Director of Purchasing, The Print Shop/Mailroom Specialist position performs the full range of reprographics functions, high-speed copying, digital printing, and any other printing related needs. Performs all aspects of the College’s mailroom operation, maintains financial records concerning postage accountability, and keeps current with changes in postal regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with mailroom functions such as receiving, sorting, organizing, and distributing mail to correct owners.
- Ensure the postage is update accordingly to the United States Postal Service. Maintain updates and postage for the College postal meter.
- Ensure prompt mail delivery to the Post Office, if needed.
- Ensure mail is handled on a daily basis and on a timely manner.
- Gather mail from buildings on the Dallas campus to ensure prompt and timely delivery for the Post Office.
- Responsible for mail runs to the Kimbrell campus and Lincoln campus, as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain liaison with all print shop and mailroom customers to assure needs are being met and to resolve customer concerns.
- Operate copiers to process print jobs as needed. Printing needs will vary based on consumer needs including black and white and color copies, collating, stapling, letterhead, and envelopes.
- Assist in facilitating printing orders needs with outside vendors. Provide vendor options. Assist College personnel in placing third-party printing orders such as business cards, posters, signs, bound documents, etc.
- Perform day-to-day operations such as delivering paper across campuses as needed. Assist with inventory management, other deliveries, and coordinating projects.
- Perform ongoing process and training needs analysis and develop and implement appropriate strategies to increase end-user knowledge, skills, and abilities and to foster ongoing continuous improvement.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism in representing the College, including adherence to policies, procedures, and other established guidelines. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Adhere to professional accountability and accept responsibility for duties and responsibilities. Work cooperatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and College objectives. Maintain a high level of customer service, respect, and courtesy at all times.
