Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Psychology or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Psychology.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must possess advance skills in using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Applicants not meeting this minimum requirement will not be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college level. On-line teaching experience in Blackboard.

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Assist the Dean of Arts & Humanities with the identification and recruitment of potential faculty for the Psychology Department; participate in the interview selection process; provide initial divisional orientation and training to new hires.
Assist the Dean of Arts & Humanities with the scheduling and staffing for all psychology classes.
Provide input to the Dean of Arts & Humanities on divisional budget needs to include part-time salaries, supplies, equipment, travel, and other costs.
Develop, review, and recommend new or modified course outlines, supplies, materials, and textbooks; maintain currency of instructional techniques and methods.
Recruit and advise students, process student documentation, prepare reports, and perform internal audits.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Comply with faculty duties and responsibilities, as explained in the job description for the instructional faculty.
Successfully perform other duties as explained in the job description for Program Coordinators in the Organizational Handbook.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Manage and provide input on program review, assessment, and other departmental activities.
