Position Description

DEFINITION:

Under limited supervision, the Program Director, Pathway Home 2 (PH2) Grant directs and coordinates the federal Department of Labor grant for the College. The Director supervises and leads project activities for the DOL grant.   The Director implements, evaluates, and monitors project activities. The Director represents the DOL grant on all project related matters and ensures optimal integration of the project’s activities with all components of the College, LINC, Inc., and other agencies and employers. The Director communicates DOL reports to all stakeholders. The Director collaborates with all stake holders, to institutionalize new practices and improvements according to the project schedule. The Director authorizes all expenditures in the DOL project and maintains control over the budget.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

  • Receives general supervision from the Associate Vice President, EWD 
  • Supervises the CFCC Administrative Assistant (Part Time), LINC PH2 Program Director, Data Specialist, Case Managers (3).

 

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

 

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises and leads project activities for the grant.
  • With HR assistance, develops job descriptions, creates and leads hiring committees, and facilitates the onboarding and training of grant staff that supervises.
  • Supervises CFCC Administrative Assistant (Part Time), LINC PH2 Program Director, Data Specialist, Case Managers.
  • Implements, evaluates, and monitors project activities.
  • Manages the data reporting system for the grant.
  • Represents the grant on all project related matters including the DOL Federal Project Officer (FPA) and consultants.
  • Communicates Core Monitoring Reports to all stakeholders.
  • Closely monitors the progress of all project activities and objectives to ensure that quarterly and yearly goals are met.
  • Collaborates with all divisions of the college and stakeholders to implement and institutionalize new practices and improvements according to the project schedule.
  • Prepares periodic reports on grant activities for the Associate Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development.
  • Interacts and communicates effectively with various groups and individuals including immediate supervisor, co-workers, subordinates, other staff and faculty, students, and the general public.
  • Prepares and/or processes various records and reports including strategic planning worksheets; semester assessment reports; performance appraisals; budget projections/reports; requisitions; travel petitions/reimbursements; program effectiveness evaluation; etc.
  • Serves on various committees as approved by supervisor.
  • Refers to policy and procedure manuals, computer manuals, codes / laws / regulations, publications and reference texts, etc.
  • Visiting prison sites, job sites, partnering agencies, to ensure the grant is documenting implementation and progress.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • This grant is funded until September 30th, 2025.  The position is grant funded and we are seeking additional funding.  

 

  • Candidates are required to submit OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS for all degrees obtained prior to their first day of work or hire date. If highest level of education is High School diploma or equivalent, proof of completion is required.

 

  • Candidates who have obtained their education outside of the US and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
