Position Description

This is a 12-month full-time position in the Office of Instruction reporting to the Vice President of Instruction.
 

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  1. Supporting academic divisions with curriculum changes, submitting Programs of Study to the NCCCS through the Colleague system, and updates to the WCC catalog.
  2. Assist Vice President (VP) of Instruction as Perkins liaison to the NCCCS; attending meetings and trainings, submitting paperwork, monitoring budgets, etc.
  3. General administrative duties including but not limited to ordering supplies, preparing travel forms, p-card statements, monitoring budgets, and distributing mail. 
  4. Coordinate administration of student course evaluations and nursing clinical evaluations each semester; assist with college-wide surveys as needed.
  5. Working with academic divisions to coordinate and document Advisory Committee meetings.
  6. Assist with record-keeping for articulation agreements with partnering universities and public schools.
  7. Submit paperwork to the NCCCS for state-level awards such as Excellence in Teaching, Academic Excellence, Dallas Herring, and Robert Scott student awards.
  8. Update college program information in the NCWorks.gov system as needed.
  9. Assist with updating membership, coordinating meetings, distributing resources, and creating agendas/minutes for committees led by the Vice President of Instruction (Curriculum Committee, Instructional Core Team, Calendar Committee, etc.).
  10. Assist with coordination of the HS Skills USA annual competition held on WCC’s campus.
  11. Participate in college committees and task forces.
  12. Participate in professional development.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
