Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in one of the Arts and Sciences disciplines to be managed OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in one of the Arts and Sciences disciplines to be managed
A combination of seven years of full-time post-secondary teaching, and a progressive track record of administration and supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Community college teaching, administration, and supervision of faculty preferred
Position Description
Pay Grade: Executive 3
This position is responsible for the academic quality of assigned programs, operational effectiveness, growth, and development of the Northern Wake Campus.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. *Supervises assigned academic deans and CCO support staff
*Oversees academic program vitality, new course and program development, enrollment management, delivery modalities, and staffing needs of assigned academic divisions
*Manages budget allotments
*Assures the effective operation of integrated campus services that include curriculum education, workforce continuing education, customized training, early college, student services, business operations, information technology services, campus police department, facilities, and campus events
*Participates in the development and execution of strategic multi-campus planning
*Participates in planning, design, and occupancy of new and renovated campus building and parking facilities
* Represents the Northern Wake Campus internally and externally as the official spokesperson and point of contact
*Oversees space allocation for campus constituents based upon usage data and need
*Assesses campus resource needs and ensures that the resources are planned for, acquired, properly implemented, secured, and maintained
*Responsible for service area's contributions to institutional effectiveness that align with the goals of the College
*Responsible for prioritizing and expanding a culture of assessment and evaluation for data-informed decision-making
Maintains an effective, clean, attractive, and safe campus environment in collaboration with Facilities, the Police Department, and the Business Office
Assures internal and external collaboration and communication with students, other college service areas, system's office, business and industry, community groups, individuals, and other external agencies that support the mission, goals, policies, and vision of the College
Supports grant-funded opportunities as they relate to campus or assigned academic program improvement or growth
Assures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body standards and regulations for assigned academic programs
Responsible for the marketing and community awareness of campus programs and services
Promotes the mission of Wake Technical Community College, as well as the North Carolina Community College System
Completes annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Progressive leadership/management experience at a multi-campus or large community college
Ability to work effectively with key campus personnel though local, auxiliary supervision without formal chain of command
Proficient in data analysis
Excellent diplomatic, negotiation, and collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
Proficient with MS Office applications
