Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology or equivalent and three to five years of related industrial experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Position Description

Under limited supervision, instructs students in various Industrial Systems Technology classes and labs and performs related administrative and recordkeeping duties.  Interacts with and assists students in various other related areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
Teaches various assigned courses and labs in Industrial Systems Technology by lecture and/or demonstration as appropriate.  Performs related administrative and recordkeeping duties such as preparing learning objectives, preparing lesson plans, course syllabi, handouts, tests, etc.; gathering resources for class; preparing lab experiments and design projects; requesting supplies and equipment; arranging for having equipment repaired as needed; ensuring that classroom and lab are clean and safe; conducting critiques of students' work; grading assignments; maintaining files; etc. 
 
Maintains good working relationships and communicates information within the Department and with all departments/divisions on campus. 
 
Receives, reviews, processes, files and/or submits a variety of documents and reports such as attendance report, grade sheets, evaluation forms, professional development forms, various other forms, memos, and general letters of correspondence.
 
Adheres to policies and procedures as outlined in Part-Time Faculty Manual as revised and made available on the Pitt Community College website http://www.pittcc.edu/faculty-and-staff/index.html .
 
Operates, utilizes, and maintains various types of equipment and supplies including computers, drawing software, calculator, audio-visual equipment, industrial equipment, hand tools, general office and teaching supplies, etc.
