Education Minimum: Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in business courses (BUS prefix)
Education Preferred: MBA
Experience Minimum: Two (2) or more years teaching college-level Business Administration courses or equivalent hands-on experience in business in a variety of administrative functions.
Experience Preferred: Two or more years teaching college level Business Administration courses and two or more years hands-on experience in business in a variety of administrative functions. 1-3 years' experience teaching online.

Position Description
Summary
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide a comprehensive educational instructional program committed to quality teaching and successful student achievement. Employees in this classification perform instructional work. Position is responsible for teaching classes and instructing students; preparing lesson plans; preparing tests; grading papers; maintaining accurate administrative records. Performs related work as required. Although, in general, teaching opportunities may be online, on-campus day classes, and/or on-campus evening classes, we are specifically seeking candidates with online-teaching experience for the upcoming semester.
Knowledge & Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Teaches business-related courses and instructs students using a variety of media; conducts learning activities.
- Prepares syllabi, lesson plans, lectures, tests, class projects, and case studies
- Evaluates students' classwork, papers, exams, and projects
- Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records

Language Skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to perform basic math computations including adding, subtracting, multiplying and averaging all units of measure.
- Ability to compute fractions, percent and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to use effective critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully an individual should be proficient in a Windows environment and have knowledge of email systems, PowerPoint and Blackboard.
