Position Description
Reporting directly to the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development, the part-time instructor will plan, organize, and teach courses as assigned to ensure that students are successful. This position will develop course syllabi, outlines, and lesson plans for Occupational Extension courses agreed upon. Review and select appropriate textbooks and instructional materials and media for the classes to be taught. Develops lectures, classroom activities, for students to participate and learn. Takes role each class and monitors attendance and records grade of P Pass, F Fail, I Incomplete, W Withdrew, AU Audit. Administers tests or other evaluation methods to students; grades and gives feedback on exercises, Keeps records of student attendance.
Under the supervision of the Dean, the Instructor plans and implements educational activities to ensure that student learning outcomes are consistent with program learning outcomes and the mission of the College. The Instructor ensures continuous improvement of instruction by means of ongoing program assessment.
