- Excellent bilingual communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret with no additions or omissions.
- Outstanding listening, retention and note-taking skills.
- Proficient enunciation and pronunciation skills, and pleasant, professional voice.
- Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Education Minimum: High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
Education Preferred: Associate’s degree in Spanish Interpreting, Spanish or a closely related field.
Experience Minimum: One (1) year experience teaching at the college level and/or related Interpreter experience.
Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of experience as an Interpreter. Three (3) to five (5) years of college level teaching experience.

Language Skills
Fluency in Spanish and English required
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic math computations including adding, subtracting, multiplying and averaging all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to use effective critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Computer Skills
Ability to navigate Blackboard, Web Advisor, and publisher content and platforms. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and email systems.
