Position Description
The purpose of this position is to perform clerical work in support of the staff in the Office of Accessibility. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality, and to maintain a welcoming and positive relationship and environment for students, schedule and administer exams for students receiving accommodations for testing. Familiarity with Pitt Community College and its programs, ability to communicate effectively, ability to prioritize workload in a multi-tasking environment amid constant interruptions. Candidate should possess personal integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, and must be able to work independently and have demonstrated acceptable written communication skills and clerical work experience. Candidate will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.
Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with MS products (Excel, MS Word, and MS Publisher) and various e-mail clients, ability to use computer scanning programs, ability to operate a multi-line phone system, demonstrated time management skills.
Must have an ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
