Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English or Writing required. Master's preferred. Preference given to candidates with a 3.0 GPA or higher in English and writing courses. Preference given to candidates with previous English/writing tutoring or teaching experience at a college or university.

- Ability to maintain and report data accurately.

Position Description
The writing center coordinator for Developmental Education and Academic Support is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Writing Center. Reports to the Senior Director of Developmental Education and Academic Support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervises tutors in the Writing Center.
- Tutors developmental and curriculum level English courses as well as courses with writing assignments.
- Creates schedules for tutors to meet with students.
- Works closely with English and other faculty to ensure students are receiving accurate and timely information.
- Collects and reports data.
- Develops learning resources for the Writing Center.
- Conducts writing and student success workshops both in person and online.
- Provides and maintains a professional, open, and welcoming environment in the Writing Center and in all TASC centers.
- Observes English and other relevant classes on campus as needed.
- Promotes the Center's services to students across campus by conducting class visits and creating promotional materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
