MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited institution required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. required.
- Library experience preferred.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and or pull at least 30 lbs.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and overhead reaching required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
Position Description
SUMMARY
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Assist during the evening hours of operation by providing public services associated with circulation, reserves, serials, and interlibrary loans, and with reference services when necessary. Report to the Public Services Librarian. Hours would be Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and every other Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide services associated with the circulation module which includes checking in/out materials, issuing library cards, and requesting payment of overdue fines.
- Handle the collection of monies responsibly (i.e., library fines and fees).
- Assist in organization and access to reserve materials for faculty.
- Assist with serials management in the automated library environment.
- Assist with organization of periodicals collection, including shelving current and back issues.
- Assist in processing interlibrary loans.
- Assist library users in accessing and locating information through the public access catalog and computer databases, including the Internet.
- Assist with stack maintenance by performing shelf reading, organizing materials to be shelved by the work study student, and shelving materials when no work study student is available.
- Maintain records of usage statistics.
- Maintain a high standard of professional and ethical practice in representing the College. Must be able to report promptly to work and deal with the public in a calm and courteous manner.
- Business casual dress is required to maintain a professional atmosphere.
- Adhere to the College's policies, procedures, and other established guidelines.
- Participate in closing procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
