Associate Degree in Business or related field with at least 2 years purchasing experience.

Ensure that all State, Federal and North Carolina Department of Community Colleges laws and regulations are followed in purchasing supplies, materials, services and equipment for the college. Prepare bid documents according to Purchase and Contract guidelines. Review purchasing contracts to ensure terms and conditions meet North Carolina regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Process all requests for supplies, materials, equipment and services and complete all necessary forms and documents relating to same. Prepare computer generated quarterly and/or annual reports as required by N.C. Department of Administration. Prepare specifications and complete information as required by Purchase and Contract on all requisitions which exceed the College’s delegation of $10,000. Prepare bid documents, schedule site visits, open bid documents and prepare award letter. Monitor all purchase orders on a monthly basis to ensure timely processing, receipt of goods, payment of invoices, and purchase orders are closed by year end. Assist with surplus sales as needed. Provide backup to equipment coordinator; assist in maintaining and reporting inventory of all equipment and facilities. Organize and maintain purchasing files for five years as required for audit purposes. Train all end users to access and use E-procurement system. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by supervisor.
