Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Quality Control, Engineering, Engineering Technology or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in quality control, inspections or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's license and approval required by the College’s liability insurance carrier

Position Description

*Develops procedures and schedules for inspecting and evaluating various commodities purchased by NC community colleges to ensure contractual requirements, specifications are met, items are installed properly and proper Safety Standards Labels are affixed.
*Prepares a Quality Assurance Inspection Checklist of asset inspections performed during inspection visits for submission to the requesting college's Procurement/Equipment Coordinator or their designee.
*Prepares monthly summary reports of inspections to include the requesting college's name, point of contact, response information, item(s) inspected, date of inspection and outcome.
*Provides responses to inspection requests of a NC community college procurement office for quality inspection within 24 hours to schedule an appointment within ten (10) business days to perform the inspection of required categories.
Provides Quality Acceptance initial assessments and training to the individual community college's staff upon request. Provides materials regarding the subject matter that will also be available and updated on the Wake Tech website.
Participates in the Association of Community College Business Officials (ACCBO) conference(s). If requested, providing training on quality acceptance inspections and safety standards labeling
Collaborates with Wake Tech's Communications department to maintain a calendar of scheduled inspections on the Wake Tech website
Establishes and maintains a line of communication with requesting colleges regarding scheduling and availability for quality acceptance inspections
