Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and/or academic advising
- Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in Radiography
- Documents two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline
- Experience providing didactic and clinical supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Document a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
- Moodle experience
Position Description
In accordance with the organizational chart and overall plan of Vance-Granville Community College, the Radiography Clinical Coordinator reports to a Program Head or Department Chair within Radiography. The principal purpose of this position, as Clinical Coordinator, is to instruct, direct and supervise the students in the clinical sites; assist in curriculum development; and conduct formal lectures and lab instruction, as assigned. The Clinical Coordinator ensures clinical sites meet the standards outlined by the institution and accrediting agencies; coordinates the clinical experience with the didactic component; and maintains positive relationships with the clinical sites.

Essential Duties:
- Prepares and maintains course outlines, descriptions and objectives in Moodle.
- Instructs and evaluates students and report progress of the student’s academic development.
- Assists the Radiography Program Head in the periodic review and revision of course materials.
- Maintains appropriate expertise and competencies in reference to the Radiography Program through continued participation in professional development.
- Coordinates and plans visitations to clinical sites which will coincide with instructional as well as “hands-on” experience students.
- Ensures that proper procedures are followed and practiced by students when dealing with patients at clinical sites.
- Correlates clinical education with didactic education and assists with the accreditation process.
- Oversee the collection, maintenance, and reporting of all documentation required by the clinical sites.
- Fulfill the duties of the clinical, lab, and/or classroom instructor as applicable.
- Conduct regular meetings and/or workshops with clinical site preceptors to ensure they are knowledgeable of program policies and procedures to ensure student success in the clinical setting.
- Be proficient in utilizing the cloud-based tracking system to monitor student progress
- Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures.
- Assists in planning and conducting orientations and programmatic meetings.
- Supports in planning and conducting pinning ceremonies.
- Participate in program-related local events related to student recruitment.
- Work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff to promote practices of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
- Perform other related duties assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Able to function in class, lab, and clinic
- Standing for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
- Essential skills include the ability to use auditory and visual senses
- Reliable travel to clinical facilities
