Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic knowledge of College, College and Career Readiness, and Workforce Continuing Education programs
Basic knowledge of College and Career Readiness admissions requirements and procedures
Outgoing, deadline and research driven, and passionate about producing outcomes.
Relates, collaborates and communicates well with individuals form all socio-economic levels and ethnic groups with respect and sensitivity
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and networking
Intermediate knowledge of student recruiting and educational program marketing techniques
Self-directed, organized, task-oriented, detail-oriented and flexible
Possesses excellent oral, written and listening skills
Available to work a flexible schedule, as needed, including evening hours
Ability to travel within Wake County as position requires
Requirements:
Associate's degree
Two years' related work experience in recruiting in higher education, program management and program marketing or other closely related field
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience in higher education program management
Experience in recruiting sales role and/or position
Experience with networking and building community partnerships for recruiting in higher education programs
Position Description
The role of the Recruiter is to recruit new students for Wake Technical Community College's College and Career Readiness (CCR) program. This position will market College and Career Readiness services, maintain and establish community partnerships, and serve as a liaison for new students and the registration process. Flexible schedule, as needed, including evening hours up to 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
*Develops a recruitment plan for CCR programming and executes travel based upon geographical location
*Acts as the liaison by establishing partnerships with targeted companies to market the CCR program to their employees.
*Represents CCR at community events, such as open houses, career fairs, and one-on-one corporate meetings.
*Markets and promotes class offerings/events/activities internally and externally to create a greater awareness of CCR to all targeted demographic groups
Builds and maintains database of events and contacts produced from outreach.
Conducts site tours as needed for prospective students and partners.
Monitors and reports the progress of the recruitment efforts to the Director of Entry Services.
Provides information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students, partners, and businesses.
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partner agencies
Participates in departmental information sessions to greet and welcome potential students into the program.
Develops and maintains CCR's social media presence, including, but not limited to, all print and web-based marketing materials, while following Wake Technical Community College's communication guidelines and policies
