Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree
  • Understanding of trades education (HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical , Plumbing), license, and industry recognized credentials (NCCER, OSHA, NABCEP, CRC)
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED:   

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Community College experience

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under general supervision of the Director of Trades Education, the candidate must be able to develop and deliver presentations at various locations within Brunswick County and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Must understand student recruitment and retention issues related to trades education
  • Ability to schedule recruitment events, follow-up, and document progress related to short term and long term project goals
  • Requires a high level of organization, teamwork, and a detailed explanation of workforce courses and credentials for potential students that are not familiar with community college courses
  • Works effectively with diverse populations
