Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Effective, professional, and motivational written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in higher education
• Previous experience in recruiting and/or marketing in an educational setting
• Knowledge of educational admissions processes
• Customer service experience
• Previous experience with strategic planning
• Experience working with diverse populations of students
• Bilingual, specifically fluent in Spanish

Job Description
The Recruitment Specialist is a full-time position responsible for conducting recruiting activities in the college’s service area of Anson and Union counties. Under the direction of the Director of Recruiting and in collaboration with academic programs, admissions, marketing, and other key stakeholders on campus, the Recruitment Specialist is responsible for meeting targeted enrollment goals through developing and implementing recruitment plans and strategies, working with community and educational partners to identify and promote programs and services, and managing recruiting activities.
Job Duties
• Become proficient in knowledge of assigned academic programs as well as the college’s admissions policies and procedures
• Independently develop and maintain partnerships between the university, local school systems, alumni networks, faculty, community partners, and other identified groups throughout the assigned territory/population that will assist in recruiting for SPCC’s courses and programs
• Develop, coordinate and deliver outreach programs and marketing strategies, including community workshops, retreats, and related recruitment efforts; arrange visits and tours for prospective students and other stakeholders
• Conduct recruiting activities at service-area high schools, areas where targeted populations gather, and community events
• Assist curriculum and continuing education faculty with on- and off-campus recruiting activities that promote enrollment and retention of students
• Conduct inquiry and follow-up activities with prospective students via phone calls, emails, letters, and other forms of communication
• Collect information on inquiries into College programs, follow-up with prospective students, and track students through application, admission, and enrollment
• Supports efforts of admissions, financial aid, and advising to convert inquiries into applicants and applicants into enrolled students
• Support recruitment for all College programs, including non-credit and credit
• Set, track, and meet targeted recruitment and admissions goals
• Identify and conduct outreach/recruitment activities for adult learners and under-represented or non-traditional learners
• Gather and analyze data and provide regular or ad hoc reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
