Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree or Diploma in Allied Health field with Active Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or AHI (Allied Health Instructor) with at least 2-years of work experience with a concentration in a hospital or clinical skills and office administration to include Phlebotomy.

Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health field is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in the classroom in a Community College setting. Online teaching experience.

Position Description

Provide quality instruction for face-to-face and online classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.

Incorporate latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process.

Assist in recruiting new students into the program.

Advise and register students who are in the program.

Monitor and improve student retention.

Provide recommendations for program changes based on industry trends and input from the advisory board.

Provide input on program review, assessment, and other departmental activities.

Mentor and offer support within the program.

Maintain face-to-face and/or online classroom environments conducive to student learning, engagement and retention.

Maintain accurate scholastic and membership records of students enrolled in classes and prepare and submit reports as required.

Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.

Participate in faculty committees.

Perform other duties and activities as assigned.
