Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Advanced Microsoft Office and research skills, including the ability to create tables, charts, graphs in Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight time-lines
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to use databases, data research, collection tools or statistical software
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Business or Office Administration or related degree
Two years of technical administrative experience including work with databases and data reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Access, Intrinsic Informer, 3D Mapping; SAS software, Adobe Acrobat
Previous work experience in a university or community college in area of data collection or reporting relating to measuring performance outcomes
Position Description
Pay Grade: Assistant 4
This position provides direct administrative and technical support to staff completing data research and reporting projects within the office of Institutional Effectiveness Accreditation and Research (IEAR).
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
*Provides administrative and technical support to Research Specialist and others completing deadline driven data reporting projects as requested by Deans, Department Heads or Faculty
*Responds to research requests and provides information and reports; assists with the dissemination of information and reports
*Utilizes database tools such as informer to extract statistical information and create presentations illustrating these findings to respond quickly to research requests that are submitted to the IEAR Office
*Provides assistance to the Policies and Procedures Manager with IPEDS during the collection periods. Also provides assistance by proofing and checking the accuracy and clarity of policies and procedures that appear in the College's catalog and Employee Handbook; assists with ensuring policies have been updated within timelines, correct formatting, and validate that the proper approval process was followed
Verifies accuracy of information gathered in preparation for the college's accreditation visits (example - SACSCOC committee physical visit; Wake Tech's 5th Year Report) and compliance with various required reports
Assists with the development and preparation of the annual Fact Book and Quick Facts cards by organizing and collecting data, updating tables and charts and ensuring the accuracy of the data presented in these documents
Assists with the organization of SACSCOC responses pertaining to substantive changes linked to academic programming or the college's organizational structure
Creates and edits memos, reports, presentations, correspondence or other documents on a regular basis
Attends various meetings as required
Performs other office duties including answering phone, and records management, and coordination of meetings
Promotes continuous improvement by completing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
