Minimum Qualifications

  1. Completion of a bachelor’s degree required.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations within and external to the College.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Two to three years’ experience in advising, success coaching, customer service preferred.
  2. Knowledge of and dedication to the mission of the community college and higher education.

Position Description

Under the direction of the Director of Advising and Dean of Student Services, the RPED Success Coach will support adult students through the enrollment process and refer adult students to appropriate resources and referrals beginning in the onboarding process through their time with the College.
 

  • Lead and assist with the implementation of screening tools and support programs of project grant.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and evaluations as required by project grant.
  • Refer adult students to services during onboarding from information gathered in the New Student Interview Form.
  • Provide career counseling to current and prospective adult students.
  • Regularly communicate with and support adult students to address barriers they may be encountering.
  • Assist other Success Coaches with adult students on their caseload when barriers arise.
  • Responsible for assisting students with alignment of their personal, academic, and career goals with the appropriate campus services, and academic programs.
  • Help guide Program Coordinators to the needs of adult students when planning course offerings.
  • Maintain records of students assisted and services provided.
  • Participate in community and outside agency events as appropriate.
