Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible experience or one year of experience and an Associate’s degree in Office Technology or related field.
Training: Completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized secretarial training or equivalent.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Office Administration.
Position Description
The successful candidate will:
Compose, type, process, and proofread a variety of reports, letters, memoranda, statistical charts, and type correspondence from rough draft.
Perform routine and complex general clerical work including participation in registration activities, duplicating and processing information; research complex problems and discrepancies in records, applications, transcripts, and institutional web pages.
Respond to complaints and requests for information on College and department policies, rules, procedures, and web pages.
Assist and collaborate with departments to coordinate events, programs, and schedules; assist in the coordination of special events and data collection efforts.
Maintain databases; complete and submit correspondence, documents, and reports (with precision and accuracy); update institutional web pages; maintain and process time sheets and schedules of work-study students.
Assist with registration and other customer service activities at centers and other off-campus and on-campus locations.
Perform special projects and assignments as needed.
Perform related and other duties as assigned.
