Excellent oral, written and listening skills

Excellent time management skills

Self-motivated and highly organized with the flexibility to manage rapidly changing priorities

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in troubleshooting, problem solving and developing new ideas and strategies

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Products

Ability to analyze data, budgets and write reports

Knowledge of local demographics and the ability to research the needs of the community

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree 

Four years of supervisory experience in the field of adult education

Preferred Qualifications

Preferences:

Master's degree in education or related field

Three years classroom teaching experience in an area of instruction within College and Career Readiness

Two years of experience working with community agencies or non-profit organizations

Position Description

This position is responsible for providing oversight, development, and leadership for operations, planning, and customer service to College & Career Readiness (CCR) learners and partners ensuring operational effectiveness of CCR programs.  This position will directly supervise the areas of testing, program accountability, and student relations/success services for CCR. 

 

 Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. *Reviews, analyzes, and recommends modifications to CCR processes and procedures; develops new processes and policies as needed; oversees the dissemination and storage of said policies and procedures

* Oversees accuracy in reporting accountability data, works to simplify accountability processes and reports, and encourages the collection and dissemination of relevant data to all of CCR

* Oversees the coordination of advising and the management of efficient testing to ensure accuracy in documentation of student outcomes

*Oversees the creation and dissemination of the annual instructional calendar; establishes program deadlines and department alignments and ensures information related to program changes is shared with the entire CCR team
 
*Coordinates with other CCR Directors to ensure faculty and staff are focused on division goals by facilitating regular communications, regular follow-up and accountability to tasks assigned

*Analyzes data and follows trends at the state and federal level to plan and prepare for changes related to programming, regulations, and funding formulas, and in turn, works to prepare faculty and staff to respond to the related changes. 

Encourages a customer service environment from initial contact of prospective learners through transitions into attainment of further training and education or employment

Provides support to the Dean to ensure efficient use of resources and effective processes and procedures, develop strategies to increase enrollment and retention

Enhances communication between programs and departments in the CCR division by communicating regularly with the CCR directors and Dean of College & Career Readiness, informing the team regarding any changes or challenges within CCR, and shares recommendations for resolutions to the challenges?????

Reviews departmental budgets and recommends changes within the departments, as needed, as well as reviews and approves contracts and contract changes, field trip requests, and associated paperwork

Recruits, hires, evaluates and supports faculty and staff in the areas of testing, accountability, and student relations including completion of annual appraisals and directing of job orientation activities

Participates in college and state training and meetings to ensure representation of departmental goals and objectives outside the division

Identifies changes in state and federal regulations and funding formulas, and in turn, works to prepare faculty and staff to respond to the related changes

Participates in College and State training and meetings to ensure representation of departmental goals and objectives outside the division

Schedules and facilitates departmental staff meetings, presents training, and actively participates in division meetings

Collaborates with the CCR Operational Effectiveness department in the promotion of CCR instructional programs in the community 

Promotes continuous improvement by completing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
