Position Description

The primary purpose of the position is to maintain the accuracy of curriculum courses, curriculum standards, college curriculum program approvals and terminations and Instructional Service Agreement (Level III) approvals and terminations within the Colleague (or other equivalent data system) data system, the Education Catalog, Curriculum Procedures Reference Manual, and the Academic Programs website.

Key responsibilities include entry, proofing, and maintenance of curriculum courses into Colleague (or other equivalent data system), curriculum standards into Colleague (or other equivalent data system) and Word, and program (traditional, Level III ISA and captive) approvals and terminations into Colleague (or other equivalent data system). This position will maintain the website for the aforementioned programs. The position will review and edit documents prepared by staff for accuracy, grammar, and correct spelling. The position will provide the review and coordination of the approval of Level III Instructional Service Agreements and educational contracts. The person in this position will serve as the liaison for Programs to the Research and Performance Management Team to request and interpret data for the purpose of preparing reports for the team and others. The role will also run reports in Colleague (or other equivalent data system) to extract and interpret data. The position will field inquiries from the general public as well as internal/external community college staff. Provides exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/AND ABILITIES: The person in this position will possess relevant knowledge to carry out tasks independently, under deadlines, and with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated customer service to internal and external stakeholders, excellent communication, and attention to detail are required skills. Knowledge of the Combined Course Library, Education Catalog, Curriculum Procedures Reference Manual, and Curriculum Standards is desirable. Experience with Colleague (or other equivalent data system) and website maintenance (HTML) is also required.

Working knowledge of methods and techniques used in gathering, editing, analyzing, interpreting and reporting social, educational, or economic information. Working knowledge of statistical principles and techniques used in collecting, interpreting, and reporting numerical data. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.

Website management and Colleague (or other equivalent data system) experience required.

PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to those applicants with a regionally accredited master’s degree in education, business, computer science or a related field and/or 3-5 years of North Carolina community college experience. Colleague (or other equivalent data system) experience.
