Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. Must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree;
2. Must have a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience working in student services, OR one year of full-time or equivalent experience working in financial aid; OR two years of full-time or equivalent experience working in a financial services related field;
3. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.

Position Description
Job Description Summary
Advises students, prospective students, and parents with all aspects of financial aid both in person and via phone and email communications. Ensures excellent customer service by guiding students through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), intake, assessment and verification of supporting documentation, providing financial aid assistance and outreach to high school educators and other target markets.
Duties
1. Counsels and advises students regarding financial aid opportunities and the application process. Assists students in identifying sources of aid and applicable requirements and regulations.
2. Maintains a thorough knowledge of federal and state financial aid and scholarship rules and regulations.
3. Primary personnel for all Financial Aid outreach and recruiting; including FAFSA events, High School visitation, and cross-departmental participation in other A-B Tech events related to enrollment management.
4. Determines eligibility and awards financial aid by processing applications, making corrections, documenting tracking, and completing the verification process.
5. Scans and routes necessary information and forms into SIS and document imaging systems.
6. Completes and catalogs various calculations related to student awards, such as R2T4, Manual Awards for Federal Funds, and Scholarship processing.
7. Processes outside agency forms.
8. Assists with student correspondence and reports as needed.
9. Communicates with appropriate state and federal agencies to resolve any conflicting issues as needed.
10. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
11. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
12. Performs other job-related responsibilities as required.
