Position Description
Create and assist in the coordination of all digital marketing efforts including social media, website content creation, digital advertising, and mobile app; increase the impact and visibility of the College by building the organization’s brand and increasing stakeholder engagement through digital channels; support the overall marketing and communications plan as well as the College mission and strategic direction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Good communications, research, creative, and writing skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Applications
- Proficient with video and DSLR cameras and other related equipment
DUTIES:
- Serve as a member of the Marketing & Outreach team.
- Work collaboratively with all College departments to gather information to develop digital marketing and social media communications strategies.
- Design graphics as needed for printed publications, collateral materials, billboards, and social media.
- Design graphics for digital marketing campaigns in partnership with marketing vendors in accordance with marketing and outreach priorities.
- Maintain messaging for the Albemarle Campus digital outdoor sign.
- Coordinate and implement the creation of digital content as it relates to the College’s website, mobile apps, email marketing and social media.
- Work closely with the web administrator and webmaster to create content and maintain edits of the College’s website, in support of the marketing goals.
- Collaborates with the studio manager to create graphics used in videos & programming.
- Supervise students participating in the work-study program as part of the department.
- Ensure brand and message consistency and accuracy in digital content.
- Monitor and communicate analytics for digital marketing strategies.
- Monitor and assist in the mitigation of any College online reputational threats.
- Work collaboratively with vendors to leverage search engine optimization to promote academic programs and new initiatives.
- Stay up to date with social media and digital marketing best practices, technologies, and the latest trends.
- Regularly track and get insights into competitors’ strategies.
- Coordinate the archival of media coverage and other related histories about SCC.
- Serve on institutional committees as assigned.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
