Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven ability to adapt and learn new procedures and programs.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications as well as proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required.
- Experience with WordPress.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- High standard of excellence, accuracy and consistency, personal integrity, honesty and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One to three years’ experience in the design and development of publications and materials preferred.

Position Description
As part of the Marketing Department, the Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and provides support for all Marketing functions, including graphic design, web design, copy writing/editing, photography, and digital and print media production, including but not limited to, print, broadcast and online advertising, program brochures, newsletters, annual reports, the College catalog, and event flyers. This position will work with the Director of Marketing to ensure brand-specific language and graphical standards in all College informational and promotional materials.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties
- Assist the Director of Marketing with graphic design, social media, programming college monitors and electronic signage, website, and multimedia production.
- Assist the Director of Marketing with creation, development and production of printed projects such as advertisements, flyers, posters, signage, brochures, booklets, newsletters, postcards, etc., as needed.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Coordinate marketing projects, including prioritization, balancing workload and brainstorming concepts.
- Work collaboratively with college faculty and staff to develop divisional, departmental, and college electronic and print outreach materials.
- Assist as needed with other functions of the Marketing Department, including photography, video, multimedia, and special event planning/implementation.
- Ensure that all college materials, both internal and external, are branded appropriately.
