Minimum Qualifications
Education Required
BA or BS degree in a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution or combination of education with significant relevant experience would be considered
Experience Required
- Minimum of three years of training experience
- Experience or interest in working with facilitators of learning
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), data bases, and internet searches
Preferred Qualifications
Education Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Preferred
- Experience with managing an LMS.
- Experience with coordinating training for all levels of learners
- Experience in developing, designing, facilitating and evaluating soft skills content and courses
- Training and development in higher education or state environment
Position Description
The Training Specialist’s primary role is to support the Director of Employee Development and Engagement as she/he works to create and deliver a comprehensive professional development program for faculty and staff. This individual will also assist the director in developing a suite of employee programs and workshops. This individual will also be responsible for facilitating and or coordinating technical training including, but not limited, to Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook, Adobe, etc.
