Graduate degree in an educational and/or business related field
Seven years project management, supervisory leadership, and/or high level executive level support experience.
Previous working experience in a higher education, economic/workforce development organization and/ or corporate level setting.
This position provides strategic and operational support for the President and internal and external constituencies in the fulfillment of the college's mission, vision, and goals. The position provides strategic project management support for the President and Executive team in researching and initiating new and strategic initiatives. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that the Board of Trustees have the proper resources and materials for discharging its duties effectively and that its actions are appropriately recorded and documented, as well as assists the President in maintaining effective board relations.
*Provides strategic and operational support for the President, Board of Trustees, internal and external constituencies
*Provides research, coordination and management support to the President and Executive team in initiating and executing new and strategic projects as assigned by the President
*Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the President's Office and internal departments
*Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including coordinating outreach and drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the college and cultivate and maintain strategic relationships.
*Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
*Manages the planning, communications, and operations of the Board of Trustees and Board committee meetings
Provides collaborative leadership to build and maintain the relationships crucial to the success of the college
Handles a wide range of matters of organizational importance and responsible for the central
coordination of all functions and activities in the President's office
Prepares board minutes and maintains records & documentation for the Board of Trustees
Follows up with the Executive Leadership Team and captures decisions as needed on behalf of the President
Attends College-related events, relevant professional meetings, and conferences as needed
Maintains confidentiality of issues involving the President's Office
Completes an annual applied benchmarking project on an individual or group basis
