1. Bachelor’s degree;
2. One year of full-time or equivalent experience working with students in advising, orientation, counseling, or a related area at the college or secondary school level;
3. One year of full-time or equivalent experience working with demographically diverse student populations.

2. Three years of full-time or equivalent experience working in the career services field or college career advising;
3. Experience with Colleague or other college information systems;
4. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
Position Description
Job Description Summary
Provides student advising and academic success coaching services, in multiple delivery modalities, while connecting students with necessary student and academic support services needed to promote successful college entry and progress towards program completion. Utilize discretion and independent judgment to recruit, advise, and enroll high school students into CCP courses while adhering to Administrative Code with regard to required documentation and eligibility for assigned CCP students.
Duties
1. Advises students at all A-B Tech locations, online and/or in-person, in program admissions processes, verification of program selection, including the college entry and selective/limited admission processes, paperwork completion, and appropriate advisor referral and scheduling.
2. Understands and interprets placement, college policies, procedures, and degree requirements, and refers students to college resources and services as necessary.
3. Provides success coaching for assigned students at the beginning of each term to facilitate a successful onboarding process and connection with the College.
4. Utilizes Early Alert and follow up with students and faculty to assist students in the successful completion of course and degree requirements.
5. Communicates with students at various momentum points connecting them with staff, faculty, and other resources to ensure progress towards program completion, including maintaining satisfactory academic progress for good academic standing and financial aid eligibility.
6. Serves as primary Career and College Promise (CCP) liaison for high schools as assigned, solely responsible for advising and success advocacy with a focus on career guidance through high school and assisting with the transition from CCP to regular college admission when appropriate.
7. Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) for the College as a Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certified school, including initial communication with prospective students, issuing and updating F-1/M-1 student visas, and advising,
8. Ensures compliance with regard to CCP Administrative Code for FTE compliance and NCCCS system office standards with regarding the enrollment of assigned schools/CCP students in tuition waived courses while in high school.
9. Contributes and adheres to the College Vision, Mission including RISE principles, Values, and Foundational Focus Areas.
10. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
