1. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
2. Must have a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience in academic advising or student services;
3. Must have experience working with demographically diverse college students.

1. Master’s degree;
2. Experience with Colleague or computerized college information systems;
3. Three to five year of full-time or equivalent experience working in a higher education setting;
5. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
Position Description
Job Description Summary
Provides student advising and academic success coaching services for students while serving as a liaison between students and necessary academic and support services needed to promote successful progress towards program completion.
Duties
1. Assists students advising services such as program placement, adding/changing majors, course withdrawal consultation, and interpreting math and English placement levels.
2. Communicates with at-risk students at various momentum points connecting them with staff, faculty and other resources to ensure progress towards program completion, including maintaining satisfactory academic progress for good academic standing and financial aid eligibility.
3. Provides success coaching for assigned students at the beginning of each term to facilitate a successful onboarding process and connection with the College.
4. Utilizes the designated early alert and intervention system and follows up with students and faculty to assist students in the successful completion of the course and degree requirements.
5. Records and documents student academic and non-academic data so that momentum and progress towards degree completion can be maintained.
6. Provides necessary follow-up and/or ongoing coaching for assigned students referred through the College’s early alert system.
7. Understands and interprets college policies, procedures, and degree requirements for students, and refers to campus services as necessary.
8. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and Welcoming College statement.
9. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
