Enrolled in the Information Technology program at least six hours each semester.
At least one semester of experience using video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Collaborate, etc.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Enrolled full-time in the Information Technology program each semester.
At least one year of experience using video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Collaborate, etc.
At least one year of experience in computer software and hardware experience, and/or earned certifications like CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA Tech+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+.

Position Description
Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Coordinator of Instructional and Emerging Technologies, the Part-time Student Instructional Technology Assistant will have the unique opportunity to apply their technical skills to enhance the teaching and learning process. This role involves collaborating with faculty and staff to manage learning environments for assigned courses and meetings, troubleshooting technical issues, and resolving them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance on media technologies for faculty to enhance the teaching and learning process in the learning environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with learning technologies.
Manage the learning environment for assigned courses and meetings.
Collaborate with the faculty to ensure student engagement in the learning environment.
Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop a knowledge repository of resources (how-to guides, videos, FAQs) and best practices for educational, instructional, and emerging technologies to enhance courses.
Communicate critical information regarding processes and procedures to faculty and staff.
Maintain the integrity and security of the College’s LMS and learning technologies.
Support the College’s mission, vision, and core values by adhering to all policies and procedures.
Related Responsibilities:
Maintain progress toward graduation in the Information Technology program by maintaining a GPA of at least 2.0 and remaining enrolled in at least six hours each semester.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information
Surroundings/Environment:
Work is usually done in a learning environment, typically indoors with moderate noise. It involves working closely with others and occasionally working online or irregular hours. To provide a safe work environment, the student must maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards.
Physical Effort:
The employee should be physically able to complete the job’s assigned duties, including standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, moderate lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds), general manual dexterity, operating assigned equipment, and extended exposure to computer screens.
Scheduling:
This is a part-time, 20-hour/week position. The College’s normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The student must be available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, and weekend hours as job duties demand. The College will work around the student’s schedule to ensure their success.
Travel:
Local travel may be required, including between campus locations.
