Connects minority male students to support and resources, using a comprehensive approach to increase success, retention, and completion. Assists students with setting academic goals and identifying the steps necessary to navigate College processes and procedures successfully. Monitors progress and continues regular communication to build rapport and keep students motivated and engaged. Maintains records to document student progress, challenges, and outcomes of advising sessions; conducts follow-up and offers advisement as needed. Facilitates communication with students and faculty/staff to resolve issues related to academic progress and success. Develops relationships with key stakeholders to stay abreast of community needs and college programs. Performs other duties as assigned to support the College’s mission and program goals.
