Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a related field, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  •  Strong technology skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new survey tools such as Qualtrics
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong language skills
  • Ability to carefully review survey questions and identify problems
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage large volumes of information
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and staff from other agencies
  • Accuracy and promptness in all information and reports
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to perform under moderate levels of stress imposed by deadlines and peak workloads; ability to operate effectively in an environment of change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or specialized training in education and/or survey administration.
  • Two or more years of community college experience.
  • Experience with Colleague and Informer.
  • Experience using Qualtrics.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Position Description

In alignment with the College’s Strategic Plan, the Survey Administrator/IR Coordinator works to support institutional efforts to maintain and enhance a data-informed environment. The Survey Administrator/IR Coordinator will be responsible for summarizing College survey data gathered from Qualtrics and analyzing both numerical and qualitative data to create and distribute reports to College departments, leadership, and accreditation agencies. The Survey Administrator/IR Coordinator is a member of the Institutional Research team and works collaboratively with all divisions and college partners.   This position may be eligible for full-time remote work.

 Essential Duties:

Create, Administer and Maintain Institution-Wide Surveys

  • Create, review, update and administer re-occurring institutional surveys;
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative survey results;
  • Produce charts, tables, and other data visualizations as well as written evaluations and summaries, from survey analyses;
  • Create dashboards highlighting key survey results and trend findings

 Create, Administer and Maintain Ad hoc Surveys

  • Work across divisions and departments to assist with ad hoc survey requests;
  • Create, review, update and administer ad hoc surveys;
  • Assist those who request surveys on proper protocols for survey approval and development

 Support Institutional Research Department

  • Assist in professional development sessions on data literacy and survey creation;
  • Assist with monthly “data bytes” to the college community;
  • Assist in compiling and reporting for Title III requirements;
  • Serve as the main contact for all surveys;
  • Serve as the key contact for information and training regarding surveys and the College’s survey tool;

Other duties:

  • Maintain necessary levels of confidentiality and security of all institutional and system data extracted;
  • Support other College offices, such as the Grants Office, that need survey results or data support
  • Serve on college committees as assigned.
  • Complete the annual five-hour staff development requirement.
  • Encourage and support college activities, policies, procedures, and philosophies.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
