Minimum Qualifications

Education:    Bachelor's degree in a computer-related area
Experience:  Three (3) years of full-time, continuous in-depth experience with the Colleague ERP system, Softdocs, Docescan/Etrieve imaging and document management system, IPEDS reporting, Informer Reporting, advanced data extraction/analysis within the Colleague ERP system, database structure and   design within the Etrieve system.

Position Description

Under general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, serves as Coordinator for the Information Technology System unit. Planning and coordination must be in concert with all other units.
 

The search will remain open until this position is filled; however, to be considered for the initial screening, candidates should submit application materials by July 09, 2023.   

Primary Duties

  • Generate and assist with various institutional, state, and federal reports including FTE reports, IPEDS, and others as necessary. 
  • Document and record problems, solutions, programs and procedures for computer systems. 
  • Respond to and answer complex questions of staff on computer systems, software, and related equipment. 
  • Assist in the acquisition of computer related software, supplies and equipment by identifying the needs to accomplish proper support of college computer systems.
  •  Participate in professional development activities, research and implement new developments, products and techniques to provide positive growth for college computer networks and related systems.
  • Assist in developing procedures, research and analyze options to improve the efficiency of the information processing operations in terms of software, hardware, applications, services and cost effectiveness.
  • Assist in system maintenance and backups; install ERP (Colleague) system patches and maintain related documentation.
  • Conduct computer in-services and training sessions; assist users in operating equipment and software.
  • Provide statistical information as requested.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and priorities for assigned programs including those involving database management and security, database design and implementation, computer system operations, and software development, testing and implementation. 
  • Assist in maintaining a viable security plan for the college's Information Services functions. 
  • Serve as Network User Security Administrator for the college by maintaining directory services and all related documentation and by assisting the Chief Information Officer with account access, monitoring, policies, and procedures. 
  • Serve as ERP (Colleague) Security Administrator for the college by maintaining all user accounts, access, and documentation and by monitoring changes. 
  • Collaborate with other system administrators across the community college system and at the system's office. 
  • Respond to users' inquiries in person, via telephone, e-mail, and the HelpDesk concerning system operation and use of particular applications. 
  • Plan, develop, and maintain the college's telecom system. 
  • Diagnose and analyze software-related problems and develop and implement solutions; resolve immediate hardware and software problems; notify users of systems down time. 
  • Assist and participate in purging system files and viewing system logs. 
  • Plan, develop, and maintain the college's document imaging system. 
  • Serve on college committees as assigned. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology
