Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree is required in Computer Science/Database or Systems Administration.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Systems Administration or Database Administration, with extensive experience related to the position duties, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the required Master’s degree.

Position Description
The Systems Administrator will administer, install, implement, and maintain the hardware and software applications used to support the College’s primary administrative and business functions, including the host and all associated administrative servers. Manage and lead all state dictated software, hardware, database and application upgrades and migrations, enhancements, and patches in conjunction with NC Community College System office IT services. Maintain contact with the NC Community College System Office, NC Office of Information Technology Services, the State Auditor’s office, and professional organizations as required for pilot and beta testing, project management, maintenance, support and planning.
Receives direction from the Associate Vice President for MIS.
Exercise direct supervision over the Senior Systems Administrator Technician, Systems Administrator Technicians, Computer Support Specialist, Programmer Analysts I and Programmer Analyst II.
